Built in 1981 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2003, the modern low rise Arenal Playa complex has a total of 11 one and two bedroomed self catering apartments that are built around a central pool area, and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, giving the impression of a small village.

All guest rooms on the complex are individually designed, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette with microwave and fridge, and a combined lounge/dining room with satellite television and private terrace with sun loungers. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with separate children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.
