Part of the Prinsotel Group of hotels, the 3 star Hotel Prinsotel La Caleta has an enviable position overlooking a small sheltered beach in the quiet resort of Cala Santandrķa on the rugged west coast of Menorca. The hotel is approximately 50km west of the capital Mahon and the International Aeropuerto de Menorca airport, and 3km south of the historic City of Ciutadella.

Built in 1988 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2008, the modern low rise Hotel La Caleta has a total of 245 guest rooms, including 176 standard twin rooms and a further 69 singles, which are distributed between a central building and three further 3 and 4 storey annexes, all of which are then set amidst almost 5,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area or towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, a number of "Select Rooms" are also available which feature a bathroom equipped with bathrobes and sandals, along with complimentary high speed Internet access, a Playstation, complimentary pool towels, and a mini bar welcome selection. All guest rooms at the hotel are also provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk and luggage rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, along with a multi sports activity area for football and volleyball etc, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Prinsotel La Caleta also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
