Built in 1987 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 1999, the modern low rise Hotel Sol Falco has a total of 450 guest rooms that are distributed between 10 Mediterranean-style, two-story buildings and set amidst extensive landscaped gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either centrally heated or air conditioned according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, hairdryer and cosmetic mirror, along with a safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, satellite television, ceiling fan, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk and luggage rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests the Hotel Sol Falco also offers the use of 3 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, seating a maximum of 300 people, all of which are equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids including vdeo projectors and screens as well as two permanent cabins for simultaneous translations.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include a choice of seven large outdoor freshwater and saltwater swimming pools, with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include the Rocaventura children's Adventure Park featuring a superjumper, zip line and climbing wall.

The Hotel Sol Falco also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring archery, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

From May to the end of October each year, the Hotel Sol Falco is a Flintstones themed hotel and during this time is especially popular with families travelling with young children. During the summer months, alongside the numerous adult activities, the resident Sol Animation team also provide themed children's clubs with the Baby Rock Club suitable for 0 to 4 years, the Bam Bam Club for 5 to 10 year olds, the Cool Club 10 to 14 years and the Teen Club from 14 to 17 years. Guests are advised that some activities will carry a supplementary charge payable locally.

In recognition of the Sol Melia Group commitment towards caring for the environment, the Hotel Sol Falco was the first hotel in Spain to be awarded the internationally renowned certification of ISO 14001:2004 certification awarded for the achievement of the highest standards in environmental management procedures.
