Part of the prestigious Sol Melia Group of hotels, the 3 star rated Hotel Sol Milanos Pinguinos has an enviable beach front location, in the quiet resort of Son Bou on the central south coast of Menorca.

The hotel is approximately 20km west of the capital Mahon and the International Aeropuerto de Menorca airport, and 50 metres from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a small selection of restaurants, bars and shops.

Built in 1973 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2014, the modern Hotel Sol Milanos Pinguinos complex has a total of 597 guest rooms, including 517 double rooms, 60 singles and a further 20 family rooms with lounge area, that are distributed between two 11 storey buildings, and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area overlooking the wide sandy resort beach.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either centrally heated or air conditioned according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, hairdryer and cosmetic mirror, along with a safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, satellite television, ceiling fan, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include a choice of two large outdoor freshwater swimming pools for adults, with integrated children's sections, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a hard surface tennis court, along a children's Adventure Park featuring a superjumper, zip line and climbing wall.

The Hotel Sol Milanos Pinguinos also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring archery, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

During the summer months, the Hotel Sol Milanos Pinguinos is especially popular with families travelling with young children, and during this time, alongside the numerous adult activities, the resident Sol Animation team also provide themed children's clubs that are inspired by the legends of Katmandu, with the Club 4 being suitable for 1 to 4 years, Club 8 for 5 to 8 year olds, Club 13 for 9 to 13 years and the Teen Club from 14 to 17 years. Guests are advised that some activities will carry a supplementary charge payable locally.
