Built in 1975 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2004, the modern Hotel Sur Menorca has a total of 230 guests rooms, including 206 double rooms, 18 singles, 3 Junior Suites and a further 3 Suites, which are built over 3 floors and set amidst almost 40,000m² of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area. In addition to the above, and in a separate area of the gardens, are a further 18 two bedroom self catering apartments, 13 bungalows and 6 duplex bungalows.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either centrally heated or air conditioned according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea. In addition to the above features, both the apartments and bungalows at the Hotel Sur Menorca also have an open plan kitchenette and a combined lounge/dining room, and all guest rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, along with a separate smaller children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club, along with a well equipped gymnasium, a multi-sports activity court for tennis, volleyball and football etc, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Sur Menorca also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring pistol shooting, archery, pool games and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children’s disco followed by either live music, cabaret and other professional shows several times each week.
