Built in 1989 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2004, the modern low rise Siesta Playa complex has a total of 164 guest rooms, offering a choice of both one and two bedroom self catering apartments and studio flats, which are distributed between 5 three storey buildings, and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the sea.

All guest rooms on the complex are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette with electric cooking rings, refrigerator and microwave oven, a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental, satellite television, and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the sea which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's mini club, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Siesta Playa Apartments also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment, with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
